Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity. We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession.
The second book is better than the first if that was possible. Cannot wait for the third one to be released. Giddeon and Ava are worthy contenders for Chrstian and Ana but the Crossfire books are better written. I absolutely loved Bared to You - in fact it was one of my favourite books of the year - so I couldn't wait to spend more time with Gideon and Eva in Reflected in You.
Even better than the first, the chemistry between Gideon and Eva is hot I love how the books end with no cliff hangers but leave you wanting more. This title grabbed me, I loooved the content and narration. I fully enjoyed listening to this book. Well done Sylvia Day and thanks for the wonderful narration Jill Redfield.
If I was producing the abridged version - sex, flatmate gets hurt, sex, Gideon discovers Ava's secret past, sex, Ava discovers Gideon's secret past, sex, the end. Needless to say it was all a bit monotonous. I had forgotten how emotional this book is. I absolutely adore the storyline. A fantastic performance from Jill. Jill Redfield is such an amazing and talented narrator. I was completely enthralled by this second book about Eva and Gideon. The story itself was a huge drama of push-and-pull between the couple.
There were so many things that didn't make sense until right near the end. It was passionate, emotional and anguish-ridden. A fantastic listening experience! Great storyline and characters. Gripping in every way. I loved this audiobook. Really enjoyed this. I had read once before a long while ago and it was just as good as I had remembered! I couldn't wait to hear what happened Gideon and Eva, so I purchased "Reflected In You" for my kindle and read the book at one sitting.
I enjoyed Jill Redfield's narration of "Bared to You" so I decided to purchase the audiobook of "Reflected in You" when it became available.
I much prefer Jill Redfield's narration to reading the book to myself. This book is fairly well written and moves the story forward toward the hopefully happy ending in book three. After a few good reactions from bloggers whose opinions I respect, I decided to give Reflected in You a shot. I find it peculiar that after listening to this installment I like Bared to You much more than I originally did if this makes any sense to you.
This is the continuation of the hot, but rocking relationship between Eva and Gideon. On the other hand, Gideon, as much as he seems to love and need Eva, he still is not showing her outside the bedroom how strong his feeling for her really are. This is an emotional listen, and Ms. Redfield perfectly hits the mark with her delivery. I seem to be the only person in the world who isn't enjoying this series.
I don't feel any chemistry between the characters. I couldn't get past the whole "we meet, we're in love, we need counseling" all in a month or less. I guess i need more build up and less drama in my books. This book is without a doubt steamy but that's about all it is. I don't hate it, but it's nothing that I will recommend to others. Still love the story but disappointed with the second book in the series - not as good as book one.
Hope the final book will meet my expectations. Hot, sexy, fit, late twenty-something billionaire who built his empire from scratch before turning 30 despite having a traumatic past immediately becomes obsessed with young twenty-something girl who is pretty and doesn't know it and despite beginning the sexcapades more like a business transaction and swearing he doesn't do the relationship thing, he immediately fall in love, plasters his walls with giant pictures of her and become super possesive, stalkerish, and jealous of anything with a penis.
What book am I reviewing? Oh yeah. I mean Gideon Her is Eva, not Ana, and she's constantly looking for something wrong with this guy she's so drawn to. The nightmare rape and real rape while the guy is having a nightmare only bothers her for a few hours before they do it again. Drama drama drama. There was so much forced drama that lead to sex that it really got old quick.
Too much sexy time can chafe. These kinds of relationships are so friggin unhealthy and if it were real life there'd be a restraining order involved. But it's not real life, it's an erotic novel.
And as my friend tells me, I need to quit analyzing this stuff as a real story and just appreciate it for the hot and sexy romp that it is. I try, I really do. But I can't help myself The roommate, the cab driver, the boss, the boss's boyfriend, the secretary at the front desk So if that doesn't bother you, enjoy :. This one was not nearly as hot or sexy as the first book. He's broken she's broken, everyone is broken It wasn't bad, I was just expecting much more.
I loved Bared to You, so perhaps my hopes were a little too high for Reflected. At times it was amazing the sex but mostly it was just so-so. Gideon and Eva are all over the place. There were times in this book that I really wanted them to work out there differences and just be happy together. Other times I hated one or the other so much I almost gave up listening.
There were too many places in the story that just made me roll my eyes and say "really? Like the first book there are still too many unanswered questions Gideon's past for example and there needs to be a little more character development.
The follow-up to Day's smash hit Bared to You, a novel which was originally self-published in April this year and acquired by Penguin in May, Reflected in You tells of the love affair between Eva and Gideon: "He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I'd never been to anything or anyone in my life". Originally entitled Deeper in You, but changed because some booksellers "felt the title was too suggestive" , it sold 82, copies in the UK in the last week, according to Nielsen BookScan.
Reflected in You has been on sale in digital formats for a month already and has topped the Amazon. Despite this, the paperback edition still enjoyed one of the strongest ever opening-week sales for a printed book since records began.
